Another view of Christmas

My wife lives in a care home. Yesterday afternoon children from the local primary school came in to sing carols to the residents. It was lovely to hear the sweet young voices singing the carols and songs that transport one back to one’s own childhood Christmases, and to see their innocent young faces. It was the very best aspect of Christmas, and went some way to redeem the rest.

  1. must confess to missing the school christmas service now that even my grandchildren locally are past primary school

  2. I quite agree with your sentiments. Last Saturday our charity (www.spadework.net) held their annual Christmas Fair with children from the local Primary School in attendance singing traditional carols. What a delight. We also had a turnover of £11,000 which helps us a great deal!
